Sorry, no match report for tonights game. I was sidelined with my own problems (possible redundancy) which threatened to cast a shadow over my enjoyment of the start of the season, and, well life in general really. Hopefully my mind will be put at rest by tomorrow lunchtime (and it’s looking good, thankfully).
A short news roundup now – Brett Johnson has signed! He’s finally ours, meaning we shouldn’t be short of strength in the centre half department next year. As you can see from above, triallist Callum Morrissey knocked in a couple tonight, I’ll be very interested to read the reports on his performance after his lively cameo against Farnborough. After our efforts to sign a promising young youth international and a journeyman pro in recent weeks, wouldn’t it be a fanstastic story if this guy from the Isle of Man turned out to be a quality Conference hitman? Perhaps too good to be true, after all he was only up against a CCL side tonight, but as there seems to be no-one else on our radar right now, we can only hope.
