Ebbsfleet United (1) 2 Cumbers (41), Viera (79)
AFC Wimbledon (1) 2 Moore (28), Montague (90+5)
The Dons came away from Stonebridge Road with a point after a late equaliser from Ross Montague. Luke Moore had given Wimbledon the lead before ex-Dons play-off hero Luis Cumbers levelled the scores before half-time. Magno Viera put ‘Fleet ahead and with time running out Wimbledon appeared to be heading for defeat after Jay Conroy was sent off. A Chris Hussey cross set up a dramatic late equaliser for new signing Ross Montague in only his second appearance for the club.
The point leaves Wimbledon down in twelth place, however a victory in the game in hand against Wrexham will see them leap into a playoff position at the expense of Rushden.
Elsewhere in the division Oxford eased eight points clear at the top following a comfortable 4-0 victory over Eastbourne. Stevenage move second with a game in hand after beating Chester 1-0, and Tamworth are now in third as they beat Salisbury 2-0 at The Lamb. Cambridge and Rushden round of the top five after good home wins against Wrexham and Mansfield respectively.
Luton v York were out of action today after their game was cancelled as it clashed with a right wing rally in the town today, and this leaves them both lying just outside the playoffs. Ebbsfleets point lifts them two places to eighteenth, with Grays, Salisbury and Forest Green familiar names in the bottom four along with sorry Chester, rooted to the bottom on minus sixteen points.
The Dons return to action on Tuesday when Crawley travel to TCRRFSKM in a game that will see the Dons move above the visitors should they record a victory. The full Anonymous Don service will resume for this game, and I can only apologise for my absence and lack of match report today.
